Great general-use generator.
I bought this generator after the Friday storm that did tons of damage to the northeast, 6/29/12, because of the amount of damage, I knew we would be out for at least a week. Had an electrician hook it up to the circuit panel, made sure to keep the main off (very important!), and clicked on breaker to see how much it could handle.
Starting with the biggest loads, it ran the 3ton central air unit (still amazed it kicked over at all), water pump, fridge/freezer, 6 ceiling fans, light switches, and the tv and bluray player. Basically all the essential things, AC kept house cool at 79 during the heat wave, water was cold but running, fans helped keep the AC at a humm and the rooms comfortable, and we watched movies the whole week.
Great little generator for keeping you going during an emergency, would highly recommend it for basic needs. Also, it ran for about 12 hours on one tank with the load we were running, which is pretty good for its size.
