However, the core of the BAKFlip HD Tonneau Cover / Truck Bed Cover is 25% more dense, 1/8" thicker and is much more rigid then the G2. I love this cover!
I've been wanting a bed cover for my '08 Sierra for quite sometime now and finally pulled the trigger on the Bakflip at the suggestion of one of my friends. I really prefer the clean, smooth look of a fiberglass cover, but needed the versatility of the Bakflip, and so function beat out form. I have to say I'm really happy with the cover. Luckily my truck is also black and therefor the cover's color matches very nicely. I'm sure it wouldn't look as good if I had a different truck color. The installation was (somewhat) easy and the fit is nearly perfect. The installation literature was pretty poor, though. There isn't much written to give you guidance on which direction the parts are supposed to fit onto the bed, so I wound up installing the rails backwards the first time. There is an installation video on YouTube, but it's not very helpful for this model of the Bakflip. Once, I got the cover installed though, it was good to go.
