Nice bumper, and well built.
I bought this bumper for my 08 F350, to replace a Southwest Fabricators brand bumper that came with the truck. I never liked the look of the Southwest Fabricators bumper. It didn't extend low enough to protect much of the underside of the truck, and I liked even less that it didn't have tow hooks and no provision to add tow hooks. The Southwest Fabricators bumper is well made, and heavy steel, but I never liked the design. It just looked a little cheap, even though it wasn't. After removing it, I like it even less, since it was only attached with two 1/2" bolts per side. I really don't think 4 bolts is enough to hold a bumper on an 8,500lb truck.
This Fab Fours bumper is much nicer. It extends lower to provide more protection to the underside of the truck. It has a place to add D-ring mounts for up to 7/8" shackles, which I installed. It has a provision for a front receiver, but I think it's kind of a cheesy way to do it. It is a front receiver though, if you need...
