Great Sounding Pipes
I bought these pipes for my 2012 Sportster 48 in conjunction with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker air intake. The pipes are fairly easy to install but it does take some time. It took me probably 3 hours including the air intake install but I was taking my time to I got things right and did not scratch the pipes up.
The pipes themselves are great looking and sound even better than the look. I was worried they might be a little too loud but they are not. I live in a subdivision and while I'm sure my neighbors can hear me leave in the morning the pipes are not obnoxious at idle or low throttle. Now if you get 15-20%+ throttle on them, they really sing and sound great.
My only complaint with these pipes is they did not come with new exhaust gaskets. I had watched a youtube video showing the installation procedure that stated his V&H pipes DID come with the gaskets, so I pulled the old ones out before I had even checked the parts box to see if new ones were there.
