Things to consider before purchase
Sorry in advance for the wordiness and length of this review, but I didn't find any real useful reviews when I bought my hood, so wanted to try and help as much as I can.
Overall this was a quality product. There were some minor scratches and the equivalent of "swirl marks" in the clear coat. (a scratch-x or equivalent can cure those) There were a few nicks in the carbon layer itself but were in inconspicuous places (on the inside of the washer vents). There are also areas in the nooks of the louvers where the carbon fiber layer was laid very thin, as you can somewhat see the fiberglass behind it.
I am an intermediate to advanced mechanic, but only minor body work experience, and this replacement job took about 5-6 hours to complete; all said and done. The installation is not terribly difficult, but there are some potential modifications to the hood that are needed, which are not spelled out in any product descriptions I've seen.
