Good exhaust system, but a few things to be desired
I elected to take my car to a muffler shop to have my Magnaflow Catback Exhaust installed on my 2000 Mustang V-6 coupe and I'm glad I did. The fit was very tight in the rear axle area and it proved to be a challenge for the installer. I don't know that I ever could have done this on jack stands in my garage. One of the places where the pipes joined didn't want to seal and the installer broke a clamp trying to tighten it down enough to keep the pipe from moving. (The shop was able to get another clamp for it, but it took three hours for it to be delivered!) That particular joint had to be brazed to help hold the pipe in place. Also, the mufflers were welded in wrong from the factory and the Magnaflow logos are upside down. Fortunately the mufflers are not directional and this does not affect the exhaust flow. The car is just my daily driver, so it's not a big deal. However, if it would have been a show car, I would have been very disappointed. The finish looks nice and the...
