2011 Camaro SS Muscle Car Sound
I purchased this exhaust after extensive research, price shopping, and listening to YouTube videos. Every system I viewed - Borla, Corsa, Magnaflow, and Flowmaster, had its advantages and disadvantages. They all had awesome sound! It really boiled down to price and my desire for a 3" pipe system. All systems I viewed were 2 1/2" pipes except for Flowmaster at 1/2 the price. I realize that the 2 1/2" systems were more than adequate but why not the 3" with even more flow if I later supercharged?
The higher price systems did use 304 stainless versus the 409 stainless used by Flowmaster. The difference? Well, 304 is a higher quality stainless containing more nickel and more resistant to rust. Flowmaster does offer a lifetime warranty on the 409 system for "as long as you own the vehicle" which obviously is not lifetime but still good. Since my Camaro SS is really a weekend and Fair weather driver and not my main driver, this was acceptable to me.
